MADE IN THE USA

At Dancing Rain Dolls we know that every age of childhood brings it's own and special way of playing. For every stage there are new
demands placed on the toys being offered. I have watched my own children's growth and met their needs with creating new dolls for them. I
have created a few special dolls that are meant to be cross over dolls that bridge the gap of a multiple ages, like the My Baby. The general
idea is to have simple dolls for the younger child and as the child grows and becomes more aware of themselves to than give them dolls that
are more defined.
Any toy that stimulates the child's natural ability to activate it's inner creativity is a wonderful toy. At Dancing Rain Dolls the doll's facial
expression is neutral and subtly defined to give children the opportunity to awaken their imagination and enables the child to imagine the doll
is laughing, crying or sleeping.
These wonderful dolls are safe, cuddle-proof and made here in the USA one at a time by me in my home studio. My children watch, direct
and inspire all that I do.
Teething Ring Doll
knotted dolls without faces for babies as babies are not aware of these features in a person yet.
Sack dolls are for children who are not walking yet. 10 months 3 years
Snuggles
Our Snuggles doll is for the per-school child who has just discovered walking. It is made with an attached suit, made out of soft stretchy
cotton velour. The body is soft and cuddly. The colour of the face and hands a warm skin tone. The hair is a simple cap style. This doll can
represent either boy or girl and is wonderful for children from ages 1-3. Often, their motorics are not developed enough to dress the dolls
so with a Snuggles doll the doll doesn't´t go around naked. Simple clothing like a vest or a hat can help encourage a child to start to learn to
dress a doll.
My Baby
This cute little doll is meant to be a wonderful doll for crossing over of many ages. My girls are 4 years apart and so my little girls wanted a
doll that was a baby with diapers, but had hair that could be finger combed just like their big sisters doll. The My baby has a baby posture
with stitched on arms, but it can be given a more toddler look by giving it longer hair. For the young child the little romper can be stitched up
the front, but when they are able use snaps the stitching can be removed. Personally I like that I can help my child to bond with a doll and that
this doll will be able to be played with for many years not just a year or so.
Friendship Dolls
The smaller sized Friendship dolls with stitched on arms is ideal for the kindergarten child, easy to carry and play with. This doll is especially
made to withstand the often exuberant play of children this age.
There are different sizes but the 12" and 14" are what I recommend with simple clothing to easily to dress them in. For ages 4 on.
The Large Friendship Doll 16" and 18" are for schoolchildren from about six years of age on. It's posture is much like that of the child;
upright, self-assured, directed at the world. The playmate doll has separately attached arms, that can be rotated and will remain in any chosen
position. This doll becomes more personal. For instance, it will be more obviously a boy or a girl. The hair is styled. The clothes are more
detailed and place a greater demand on the child's dressing-skills.
Button Jointed Baby
The Button Jointed Baby Doll is meant for the older child, at least seven. During the primary school years the ability of the child to
transform any doll into a baby through fantasy decreases. He/she will increasingly desire "real-life" toys.
The baby doll is soft, warm and cuddly. The 18" size approaches that of a real baby, so it can be dressed in real baby clothes.
